A quote from Buddhist scholar, B. Alan Wallace, states, “We’re living in a world that contributes in a major way to mental fragmentation, disintegration, distraction and incoherence”. With Claudia being trained in Wellness, Burnout Prevention & Mindfulness Strategies, she believes that a willingness to experience psychological events (thoughts, feelings, memories) without having to avoid them or let them unduly influence behavior is to obtain true psychological acceptance.
Claudia’s warm energy is welcoming as she guides her clients through a journey of unbiased discussions and an understanding for the stressful challenges that are presented. Her model of therapy is dependent on the individual’s personality, life experiences, cultural background and degree of acculturation. Therapy Models practiced are: Person-Centered Approach, Existential Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) Mindfulness and 12 Step work in Alcoholic Anonymous (AA) and Narcotic Anonymous (NA).
Claudia is currently accepting new clients and offers daytime, evening and weekend appointments. Ms. Caprio is also a Group Therapy provider at the Counseling and Wellness Center of South Florida.
