 Liana Lorenzo-Echeverri is a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern (IMT 2582). Being born and raised in South Florida, she is bilingual in English and Spanish. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida International University and her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University (NSU). Liana is currently continuing her education by pursuing a Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy (DMFT) at NSU. Liana is married to her best friend and they have been together for nearly 10 years.

Liana is passionate about working with couples. Couples can experience difficult times in their relationship, along with transition periods. Liana also likes to work with couples and do pre-marital sessions.  She specializes in working with children, couples, families. She is passionate about working collaboratively with children and their families whom are experiencing a transition and helping them to reach their goals in times of need. She enjoys working with her clients to motivate them to recognize their own potential and strengths.

Additional Affiliations: Liana is a Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). Also, she has interned at the PROMISE program, which provides an alternative to suspension or arrest for at risk youth in Broward County. Working with children that range from ages 4-18 at The PROMISE program has given her many tools for working with children and adolescents alike. Liana is a part of the Delta Kappa International Marriage and Family Therapy Honor Society. Liana has served as a Board Member of the South Broward/North Dade Chapter of CHADD.  She has certificates in Completion in Introductory Interdisciplinary Collaborative Divorce Practice Training and in Relational Suicide Assessment Training.
