Dr. Liana Lorenzo-Echeverri is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MT 3815). Being born and raised in South Florida, she is bilingual in English and Spanish. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida International University and her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University (NSU). Liana received her Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy (DMFT) from NSU. She is married to her best friend and they are proud new parents.
Liana is passionate about working with mommies, mommies-to-be, couples deciding whether or not to have children, couples adjusting to parenthood, and women as young as 18. Her goal is to provide a safe and non-judgmental space to be able to have open conversations for her clients to reach their goals. Her intention is to empower and guide her clients to feel heard and understood. Also, to help her clients to discover their strengths and what they are capable of throughout challenges and life transitions.
Additional Affiliations: Liana is a Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). Also, she has interned at the PROMISE program, which provides an alternative to suspension or arrest for at risk youth in Broward County. Liana is a part of the Delta Kappa International Marriage and Family Therapy Honor Society. She has served as a Board Member of the South Broward/North Dade Chapter of CHADD. Liana has certificates in Completion in Introductory Interdisciplinary Collaborative Divorce Practice Training and in Relational Suicide Assessment Training.
